Every time I talk to someone who is into animation like I am, they always ask if I've seen Princess Mononoke, the Miyazaki film. I tell them I haven't yet & they do one of those "OH MAN! YOU GOTTA WATCH IT! IT'S THE BEST ANIMATED FILM EVER!!!" exclamations.
I finally watched Princess Mononoke for the first time last night. It is a great film, but it was not quite as extraordinary as people say it is. The animation is top notch, the voices are superb (even though most of the characters are voiced by typical top-name American actors for the English dub), & the story was exciting & compelling. But it's not quite what I expected. On a 1/10 scale, I'd give it a solid 8. It ain't perfect, but it's pretty far up there.
Personally, I like Spirited Away a lot better, but I appreciate Princess Mononoke for what it is & I respect that. I would definitely suggest you all to watch it if you haven't seen it yet.

Hi Mike,
Hey, how is SVA? Well, its pretty cool that you got to meet the guy who draws mutts. Mutts is one of my favorite cartoon strips too. Its a good thing you saw Princess Mononoke, I really like that movie, and I'd give it 3 and a half stars. It was really good. I still have to watch Spirited Away. The last installment of College soup was funny, and liked the color. You should definitely come visit us again at art, this whole past week we've done nothing. I'm sure if you maybe dropped by Monday we wouldn't be to busy, but That's if it fits your schedule, I'm sure you're pretty busy. Also, Sonics in, I can't believe it. I think Nintendo shoul;d cut it there with 3rd party characters though. I check the site pretty much everyday. Also, on Halloween, Mike told me you're all going trick or treating. I'm staying at my house to give candy to the little kiddies. you guys should drop by for a few just to talk and catch up on some things. I already suggested it to mike and he said he'd like to stop by.
Hope to see you soon,
Denise
Hey Denise! Thanks for stopping by!
Like I said on the post, Mononoke was alright, but still not as amazing as people say it is. You've got to watch Spirited Away at least once. I think it's Miyazaki's best picture (even though I've seen only three of his films so far).
I agree with you about the Smash Bros. thing. Two 3rd party characters are enough (except if they add Rayman, then one more wouldn't hurt).
Actually, I will be coming to the school this Monday to see Mr. Vulpis & Mr. Bishop. I'll com by & say y'llo!
& I will definitely come over to your neck of the woods this Halloween. You'd better have Root Beer Barrels! :)
Thanks for the compliment on the comic & hope to see you soon!
