Since drawing comics isn't my forte, my thought & word bubbles take over the whole panel. I gotta keep working on my layouts.

Hey Mike, Funny comic. Each one is funnier than the last. As for the word bubbles, my aproach to them is to include them as art too, it's easy to think of word bubbles as an after thought so you can get as high quality a drawing as you can in there, but word bubbles (and the words in them duh) are as responsible for the joke and the story as the drawings are (I apologize if I sound pretentious). Sometimes your drawings will have to take a hit because of word bubbles, but you have to work with the space you a lot yourself. My comics don't really suffer from this problem since I'm not much of an artist and my drawings take a hit by being drawn. An easy way to have your word bubbles to work with your comic is to do creative things with them, look at the word bubbles in some old Matt Groening comics for instance and you'll see what I mean. Have fun in college and keep making funny comics. Your Fan, David Spector
You're right about the bubbles. I guess I just need to be patient & plan my stuff out in advance. Like I said, I'm a novice.
Glad you like the soup takes, too. Those were a lot of fun to draw. I just made weird shapes & drew Steve-O around those shapes. So far, those takes are probably the most crazy, outlandish, surreal drawings I've ever done. I'm a fan of Salvador Dali's style, even though most of my stuff looks stiff & straight. It's a shame they came out all blurry on the site, but what are ya gonna do?
Hahaha, funny comic mike. The drawings of Steve-O getting grossed out were really funny. I've never seen you draw those kind of faces before, but it was really funny. How are your SVA classes? Still good? Well, I was glad to see you monday, its just too bad we couldn't talk because the movie was on. Oh well, I look forward to more visits! Denise
Thanks, Denise! I never saw myself draw those kinds of faces before, either!
All my SVA classes are great. I love 'Intro to Animation' & 'History of Animation' very much. 'Storytelling' & 'Drawing' are nice, too. The only class I really dislike in my schedule is 'Literature & Writing', since it's very dull & I can't stand writing (English happened to be my worst class in high school). Nonetheless, I'm enjoying what I'm paying for.
It is a shame we didn't get to talk more, but maybe I'll get to see you soon & instead we'll try to talk around your lunch period. Ciao!

Oh, I forgot to mention that the drawings of Steve-O reacting to the soup are hilarious

Thanks David!

Thanks, Emily!
It's not that I don't like PopTarts or ramen, it's just that it's stereotypical college cuisine. A one-dollar-dinner. Cheap stuff, you know?
