Disney Bastardization #4 - Pinocchio's Early Demise + An Update on Ollie

I haven't done one of these in a while...

Here's another Disney Bastardization by Yours Truly. This time, the film Pinocchio gets the pie in the pants. The big question here is, what would happen if Pinocchio accidentally encountered the bad end of a wood chipper?:

& I know what some of you are thinking: "#4? Wasn't that perverted Dalmatian calamity the fourth Bastardization?". Well, I've had the idea brewing for this one long before the Dalmatian one. I actually was working on this one at the same time, but I could find the right sound effects, so I put it off 'til now.

Since I couldn't find the right sound of a wood chipper without too much ambient noise or distortion, I had to make the sounds myself. For the wood chipper grinding Pinocchio to toothpicks, I mashed together the sound of an electric pencil sharpener in one hand while crumpling some candy wrappers, tin foil & drawing paper in the other. The siren & scream were not me.

After tooling around with this video, I think I'm done with Windows Movie Maker. I'm sick & tired of it! I couldn't slow some bits down to the speed I wanted, I couldn't zoom in on Pinocchio during "Taps", & I can't overlay multiple sounds on top of each other without some sort of problem. I also wanted to add the effect of sawdust flying up from the bottom, to make things a bit more clear to understand, but that's way out o the question. Until I get my hands on a Mac with iMovie &/or AfterEffects, I'm through with this program!

Sadly, I still have one more project to finish with this god-awful program: The Ollie Johnston Tribute. I've been sounding like I was full of hot air these past few weeks mentioning this thing, with no physical proof to show, but I have been working my ass off on it. I've just finished going through all his films & now I have to properly order & organize all the footage into a streamline tribute. Sounds simple, right?... W-R-O-N-G!!!

I thought that this tribute would be 10, maybe 15 minutes tops. It's ending up being roughly ONE HOUR LONG!!! & to compensate for all the footage, I'm splitting the video into 5-6 parts, each 10 minutes long (there's no way anyone is gonna sit for almost an hour staring at this PowerPoint-quality tribute without getting antsy). Luckily, thanks to some help from people like Hans Perk & his drafts as well as the videos, blog posts, drafts, mosaics, essays & books by Mike Barrier, Thad K., Mark Mayerson, Michael Sporn, Howard Beckerman & John Canemaker as well as support from numerous others, I think I'll be able to make this tribute a well-done one.

So, over the next few days, I'm gonna be continuing writing on 50+ index cards & Post-it notes trying to organize this "film" into an appropriate order. My studio will be covered in yellow for days! I'll try to have Part 1 at least up by the end of next week (if all goes well).

Disney Bastardization #5 - Dalmatians Meet the Cows

To coincide with yesterday's One Hundred & One Dalmatians post, here's a dalmatian-themed Bastardization!

Sadly, the Bastardizations have steadily grown unfunny since the dinosaur battle one. I don't know how to top it! I won't do anymore until I have one that's sure to make people laugh. A real funny concept!

Well, at least try to tolerate this one anyway:

The DailyMotion thing was a bust, they're as bad as Youtube. They took the videos down as soon as I put them up. I guess it's for the best, so For the Birds will be the only place to see these videos (unless some shmuck steals them & puts them up on Youtube).

Also, I'm sick & tired of Windows Movie Maker! It's been a real pain to make these films with it. I had some spectacular ideas for videos, but due to the limited functions in the program they have been scrapped. I've been saving up to get a Macbook this summer, so when & if I do, the quality of these videos will greatly improve (if it's even possible to improve a video with smut like this in it every time).

Disney Bastardization #4 - Ludwig von Drake Dances & Sings

I don't know if I'd truly consider this a "bastardization" per se, but it's kinda like one.

If any of you remember watching Ludwig von Drake on Disney's Wonderful World of Color back in the day, you might remember him singing a song called "Green with Envy Blues". Well, I took some animation of him swaying his feathery behind (which I believe is Ward Kimball animation), looped it to infinity, added some psychedelic video effects & dubbed over the original song with something totally opposite. This is the stupid crap I make when I'm home alone & there's nothing good on television. Explains a lot about me, doesn't it?

I've been screwing around with a bunch of songs for this video, so who knows, if you guys like this idea I'll post more of these von Drake Dancing movies using different tunes.

Also, I want to give credit to kaijueguy for putting the original von Drake footage up on Youtube & Deep Purple for their song "Smoke on the Water" ('cause if I didn't I'd get my ass sued).

& finally one last note: For some reason, when I post these movies onto Blogger there's a slight lag in the video so the visuals & the audio don't sync up exactly right. I've been thinking about putting these videos up on a site like DailyMotion (definitely NOT considering Youtube) to boost the video quality. When & if I do so, I'll repost the videos. If there's anybody out there that can recommend a good video uploading site for me, that would be a big help. Thanks!

Disney Bastardization #3 - Dinosaur Battle

Here's my third Disney monstrosity. This time, taking a clip from the "Rite of Spring" sequence from Fantasia. Enjoy the carnage! BWAHAHAHAHAAAAA!

Hands down, this has got to be THE gayest thing I've ever done in my entire life. Bet you thought so too.

I cheated a bit too, I was supposed to only use 1 sound effect, but I ended up using two entire song sequences. Oh what shame have I brought to the craft!?

Disney Bastardization #2 - "Bambi Meets Flower"

Here's my 2nd Disney Bastardization video. Like the last one, this clip also comes from Bambi. It's the scene where Bambi meets Flower the skunk for the first time.

Everybody knows that first impressions are always the most important. Let's see what Bambi thinks of Flower, shall we?:

Disney Bastardization Time!

Before the hilariousness of ElCid's Bambee, there was this:

Years ago, Thad K. over at Animation ID made a few videos called "Disney Bastardizations". The point of these videos was to ruin the point of a classic Disney scene using only sound effects (make sad scenes happy, fun scenes scary, etc.). At the time, these were probably the funniest videos I had ever seen online.

Unfortunately the videos were removed, I think because he posted the videos on Youtube, where the Disney people spotted them & made him take them down. Since then, I wanted to bring back these hilarious videos somehow, but I didn't have the ability to do that. Now, after learning a few tricks, I can finally bring these babies back.

My favorite of the videos he did was of the infamous death scene from Bambi. Since the video has been gone for a long time, I had to recreate the video myself using Windows Movie Maker. This will be the only scene I will recreate, the rest will be completely original works.

Finally, I just want to say that all credit for this video goes to Thad. This was all his idea, not mine. & Thad, if you see this & you're upset that I'm doing this without your permission, I just want to say sorry in advance, & if you want me to take it down, let me know & I'll take it down without any trouble. Just by adding that one sound effect, it completely changes the mood of the scene! Look forward to seeing more of these in the near future! Now if only I knew how to put these on my iPod...
