Most wild parrots in NYC are Monk Parakeets (AKA Quaker Parrots). The conures are much rarer and we don't know much about them. Congratulations on getting pix of them. It's amazing that they're able to survive here!

best,
steve baldwin
brooklynparrots.comAnonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02184831373341257794noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7348999483862178621.post-64857814403338068022009-02-26T02:49:00.000-05:002009-02-26T02:49:00.000-05:00Interesting! As far as I know this is the first mention of this species in the wild on the east coast of the USA accept for Florida. Brooklynparrots.com did once mention a single bird but never a whole population I belief. This is a great new find and I hope you will find out more about these animals.

Could Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7348999483862178621.post-817118009009908942009-02-25T21:08:00.000-05:002009-02-25T21:08:00.000-05:00...I want parrots at my house D:Lucky....I want parrots at my house D:

Lucky.Mike Luckashttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04409815847138292048noreply@blogger.com
